Scarles was playing in more of a Declan Rice-type role in midfield. He was a left back/ left wingback last season. It will be interesting to see how he develops this season.

Scarles, Golambeckis and Adiele were very good. Three critical roles for us - so be interesting if they can come through.

Ajala, Rigge and Orford not as good as billed - but decent.

Herrick didn’t look as good as Terry from last year.

The rest were so so at best.

I did notice that city even at this age teach them to do niggly fouls that prevent build up.

Still 0-0. Into extra time. Man City have dominated for long periods and we have struggled to get out of our own half. But when we do we look dangerous and have had some good chances.
